CPANEL now includes auto SSL certificates for Mail and CPANEL access.
The certificates are automatically renewed after 90 days.
Well…that’s the concept and in an ideal world, it works until you find conflicts with .htaccess files.
Additional files are written into the .htaccess file before every RewriteCond as follows:-

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/[0-9]+\..+\.cpaneldcv$
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/[A-F0-9]{32}\.txt(?:\ Comodo\ DCV)?$

This is to ensure the auto renewal of service certificates goes through

Some .htaccess files could take control before the updates start.
In these situations, the auto SSL may not renew.
If this happens, add the two line above before any RewriteCond

To check an SSL certificate test the email record

Example if the domain is test.com then enter mail.test.com as the server host name using the URL below
